I'm working through Mark's gospel on Sunday mornings, I'm finding Timothy Kellers book - "Kings Cross" very helpful.
Sunday Evenings - "The Challenge of Jesus". I'm grappling with some of the ideas in N.T.Wrights book with that title - the kingdom of God, the cross.......
Hospitals and Sick Visiting.
Please let me know when folks are needing a visit - I am in Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals every week but usually see less than half the Burntisland folks who are there, because I don't know about the others. It's frustrating for me and it's hurtful for folks who are wondering why the minister hasn't been in. Please keep reminding me too of folks who are ill long term. In a busy schedule I can sometimes lose track, and a reminder is helpful.
Incredibly the hospital authorities now prevent ministers from knowing who from their church is in hospital - even when patients have been asked for their church affiliation. The given reason for this is the data protection act.
